Business Challenge:

Avento is an IT product company that provides consulting and system development services across Scandinavian region. Their product line consists of a software platform that is used to build custom CRM applications and business management suites for SMBs and enterprises.

Back in 2011,  Avento had a vision to develop a software using SharePoint technology that could serve as an underlying platform to build CRM suites. They were looking for a technology partner, which not only had expertise in Microsoft SharePoint technology, but also an astute experience in developing CRM products.

Engagement with Daffodil:

Avento's  association with Daffodil started with a small pilot project where they wanted to develop some customization modules for their Avento CRM using Microsoft Sharepoint 2010. The ease and quality with which we delivered their project ensured that they had found the right technology partner for them.

Daffodil built the initial version of their product on Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 and has since upgraded the version to Sharepoint 2013, bringing the CRM application on cloud, thereby increasing market potential. We have also built several customized plugins for importing data from Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Our team also helped improve the performance of the application and upgrade the user experience. Most of the features that were incorporated were never been done before on Sharepoint platform. The pinpoints of the engagement that has now crossed 7 years include:

 

  • Providing Avento with tech expertise to design, develop, deploy and maintain their software platform
  • Upgrading initial version of their product on Microsoft Sharepoint 2010 and has now evolved to to Sharepoint 2013, bringing the CRM application on cloud, thereby curbing operational costs
  • Providing continuous inputs to improve product UI/UX and performance of the product by introducing newer technologies and features
  • Building a multi-tenant application, which made it robust, connected and tightly secured. The app was so designed and developed to automatically create custom objects to transfer the crucial data without any hassle
  • Building several customized plugins for importing data from Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • The product is now one of the market leaders in Scandinavian countries with fortune 500 companies as their users.
